As for Mongolia, thanks to the early and effective countermeasures of the government, the country has no internal spread of Covid-19. As of 1 Aug 2020, there are 291 all imported Covid-19 cases 225 of which have recovered and no deaths.
Although, we are not immediately affected by it, the pandemic continues to have significant impacts on our daily lives, tourism industry and country’s economy as a whole.
To prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus in Mongolia, the government has no choice but to close its borders to the rest of the world indefinitely, only bringing Mongolian citizens abroad by Mongolian Airlines’ charter flights.
Nevertheless, we strongly believe Mongolia will be the safest country to travel to, after the pandemic ends and tourism resumes.
