2-DAY MULTI-ACTIVITY TRIP

OVERVIEW

Your tour commences at 8am with a pick up and one-hour transfer to the world’s tallest equestrian statue, a giant figure of Chinggis Khan on a horseback. Chinggis Khan is the unifier of Mongol tribes, and the creator of the Mongol Empire: the largest land empire world has ever known. A panoramic view of vast grasslands and rolling hills from observation deck on the horse head is just spectacular. Proceed to an isolated holiday camp amidst open steppe dotted with mushroom like tents of nomadic herders and their herds of cattle and sheep. Upon arrival, we will learn about Mongolian traditional archery and try our hands at hitting targets with the famous composite bows. In the afternoon, stocky but sure-footed Mongolian horse(s) will be saddled up for you. For 3 hours (including photo and leg stretching stops), you will ride across the boundless grasslands and imagine yourselves as true nomads. On completing the joyous equestrian experience, we will return to the camp and spend the night in traditional Mongolian ger, a felt covered circular dwelling. (Lunch, Dinner)

In the next morning, we will drive to the base of Mt. Bogd that marks the southernmost extent of Siberia’s boreal forest. A distinct trail across mixed forests leads to the massifs top at 2250m above sea level. From the lush alpine highland you will see views of distant mountains covered in dense woods of pine, birch and larch. Have a picnic lunch at the day’s highest point and descend to ruins of a Buddhist monastery at the mountain’s base. Originally built in 1733, it was completely destroyed during anti-religion campaigns of 1930-ies with just the main temple remaining to these days. But apart from that only a few sections of shattered walls, foundations, stone terraces and some stone niches in the cliffs can be seen.  In the late afternoon, we will return to Ulaanbaatar and you will be taken to your accommodation where this tour concludes. (Breakfast, Lunch)

2 days tour in Mongolia
We found the agency through Lonely Planet and it was the best option since we looked for other alternatives as well. Batt is a great guy and he has a very interesting approach on tourism and activities which includes an eco friendly mentality and value for money activities that are close to communities. The price might seem a bit high if you are in a tight budget but it's the best option you can have in Ulaan Bataar. For two days we had two great guys guiding us and providing everything, Batt and Nara are very kind and helpful. We saw great landscapes and they organised everything for us. I definitely recommend Mongolia Trekking for an adventurous experience.

INCREDIBLE PRIVATE TOUR IN MONGOLIA
I travelled on the Trans-Mongolian train (Moscow-Beijing) and decided to spend a few days in Mongolia. After emailing a few different tour agencies i agreed on a tour with Mongolian Trekking. One of the best decisions I have ever taken! The communication with Batbayar was incredible at all stages of the trip-planning. My guide Temujin was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to ensure i would always get an amazing picture or understand well what I was seeing around me! Highly recommended and not the most expensive at all! They picked me up from Ulan Bator station at around 6 am and took me right back to the station when I left to Beijing! thanks again for making this experience so unforgettable!!!!!

"Private Day Tour of Khustai National Park Including Lunch" - good

- tour guide is knowledgable and nice, big compliment
- the customer service is very responsive and able to fine-tune the tour up to my expectation, I expect it is more like a eco tour and finally they delivered a qualify tour
- but I think just spend 1 day in this national park is not enough, a pity can't stay longer time there!
